Urban Sketchers is an international organization that sketches on location.
Come sketch with us from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm, Friday, July 19 to capture the Raspberry Festival scene and Hopkins iconic streets! We will have sketchbooks and sketching pencils for those who join us. It is fun! No experience necessary. If you already sketch, feel free to bring your own materials.
We will provide an instructional demo at each of the sites and times:
6:30 pm - Clock Tower, 9th and Mainstreet
7:00 pm - World's Largest Raspberry, 21 8th Avenue North
7:30 pm - Hopkins Center for the Arts, 1111 Mainstreet
8:00 pm -8:30 pm - Zeller Studios, 1421 Mainstreet. There will not be a demonstration at this site. Instead, we will have a “Throwdown”, where we will share our sketches and visit about our experience sketching on location!
Urban Sketchers Twin Cities shares the stories of the Minneapolis and St. Paul metro area through sketching. Additionally, we are just one chapter of a non-profit community of over 400 regional chapters in over 60 countries with over 120,000 urban sketchers showing the world one sketch at a time. There is no cost to join Twin Cities Urban Sketchers.
